Jon Roy Bio

Jon is a native of Montreal, Quebec. He graduated from the University of Victoria after inaugurating and competing for the university golf team. At Uvic, Jon earned a degree in philosophy and English and earned various awards for his involvement with intramural and varsity athletics. Also, in 2005 Jon graduated from the Humber College professional golf management program as a requirement for CPGA membership.Over the past three years he has worked under the guidance of Henry Brunton. Jon’s main focus has been on the development of elite junior players. The majority of his time is spent with the highly acclaimed “Strive for Excellence” program, an intensive development program for aspiring junior golfers. Many of the graduates from this program have gone on to successful careers in college golf and beyond. Jon’s role is developing these players both on and off the course.

Jon is bilingual and conducts lessons in both of Canada’s official languages. He is also a certified Golfpsych instructor. Jon is also an accomplished player and competes regularly on the Great Lakes tour and in other professional events.
