Thundering Waters Golf Club is John Dalys first signature golf course in Canada, located within the Niagara Falls Fallsview Tourist District and a mere 1,500 yards from the Horseshoe Falls. Designed in collaboration with Canadian golf architect Bo Danoff, Thundering Waters Golf Club is a magnificent, new 18-hole championship course that reflects Johns risk-for-reward style of play.
Thundering Waters is truly a John Daly course, rewarding length, risk taking, and most importantly, shot making and putting. Johns influence in the design of Thundering Waters is evident in some way on every hole. His insight on hazard placement and difficulty, visual targets and slope severity, and on countless other aspects of course design make Thundering Waters challenging to the scratch player, but more than fair to the weekend golfer.
course combines the parkland tranquility of Augusta National with the
heathland treachery of British Open Championship golf. Fourteen of the
holes wind through a forest of mature maple, oak and hickory trees. Cut
between a meandering burn and rugged hills covered with wild fescue grasses
the remaining four holes are true links style with windswept fairways,
cavernous bunkers and large, undulated greens. But dont be fooled
by its beauty. At 7,208 yards from the championship tee, the par 72 Thundering
Waters is a match for players of any caliber.
